Welcome to Bartow High School, the Home of Champions.  At BHS, we strive to provide a World Class education to every single student through diverse learning opportunities in our wall-to-wall academies.  We are three schools in one: Bartow High School, International Baccalaureate, and Summerlin Academy, and our faculty, staff, and administration work together to educate and support our students to become responsible and productive citizens long after graduation.

Bartow Cheer Annual Cheer Clinic

WHO: Children ages 3 through 8th grade

WHAT: Bartow Cheer’s Annual Cheer Clinic

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 23rd from 9 am – 12 pm

(check-in starts at 8:30 am)

WHERE: Bartow High School’s Gym

WHY: to learn from the best high school cheer program and to have FUN!!!

COST: $25 until 9/22, $30 day of

Cheer clinic participants are invited to cheer during pregame and 1st quarter of the Lakeland game on Friday, Sept. 29th.  Tee shirts will be given out at the game.

Athletics Information

Bartow Athletics will be offering sports physicals for the 2017-18 school year on June 15th in the BHS cafeteria, beginning at 4 p.m.  The cost is $10.  All athletes who may wish to participate in a sport MUST have a physical prior to the beginning of the season.

Parking Decals on Sale for $20

Parking decals for the 2017-18 school year are on sale this week.

Pick up a parking form for parent signature from the main office, guidance, or discipline.

Rising seniors will be able to purchase their passes on Thursday, May 25 during  all 4 lunches in the gym concession area.

Everyone else will be able to purchase their passes on Friday, May 26 during all 4 lunches in the gym concession area.

Bring the completed form signed by a parent, a valid driver’s license (learner’s permits are not eligible), and vehicle registration with you to purchase your decal.

After this week, decals can be purchased in the discipline office.

BHS Future Educator Academy Earns Model Academy Recognition!

Congratulations to our Future Educators Academy for earning recognition as a Model Academy from the National Career Academy Coalition.  The intensive two-year preparation process culminated in a site review on April 5, 2017.  Last week, the school and academy received notification that they earned Model Recognition status, the highest rating conferred by NCAC.  Academy lead teacher Nikki Morse says “teaching the Future Educators Academy has been a wonderful experience.  One of the best parts about this year was seeing my students work together to earn our national accreditation.  I am so proud of their dedication to becoming a Model Academy.”

TJ Harvin Named Player of the Year!

Congratulations to McKinley “TJ” Harvin for being named the Polk Preps Player of the Year for Boys’ Basketball!  TJ is an outstanding student and athlete, and we are so proud to have him as a member of the Yellow Jacket family!

National Signing Day

February 1, 2017 was a big day at Bartow High School!  Fifteen of our senior athletes signed letters of intent to attend college and play sports.  We are so proud of each of these athletes and all their accomplishments!  Way to Go Yellow Jackets!
